As the need for quality medical and health physics has expanded, Krueger-Gilbert Health Physics (KGHP) continues to rise to the challenge. The company is proud to announce the addition of two new Diagnostic Medical Physicists, Joel Nace and Andrew Gearhart, to our team servicing the central Virginia area. As our clients continue to grow, having physicists located where our clients need them demonstrates our commitment to quality service through a local presence.
Joel Nace joins KGHP from several years as a Diagnostic Imaging Physicist for York Hospital (a part of WellSpan Health) in York, PA. Since graduating from Illinois Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Health Physics, he has been actively surveying all modalities as an imaging physicist for the past 10+ years. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and enjoys teaching students in addition to testing equipment.
Andrew Gearhart joins KGHP as a recent graduate with a Doctorate in Diagnostic Medical Physics from Vanderbilt University. He has done extensive research in the simulation of semiconductor detectors for SPECT imaging and the simulation of pediatric thyroid dose from CT. Andrew is excited to start his career with Krueger-Gilbert Health Physics and has already begun sharing insights from his program.
Michael Curry, KGHP CEO, stated “We are very excited to welcome Joel and Andrew to the team. Fostering a new and upcoming talent like Andrew, allows us to stay on the edge of new research and technologies incorporated into university programs. At the same time, being able to add a high-caliber physicist like Joel, allows us to ensure best practices and leverage real-world experience to give the best advice to our clients.”
