RSO Duties and Responsibilities:
Today’s RSO is expected to ensure radiological safety and regulatory compliance throughout the licensee’s entire facility. This usually involves many departments, a broad range of radioactive materials, and an increasing complex array of radiation producing machines.
It is the interaction between the RSO and the end users that is the foundation for a sound radiation safety program. A physician or full time technical employee is not likely to have the time nor the expertise to comprehensively address the many facets of the program.
For this reason, KGHP can offer a qualified individual to serve as the facility’s RSO. Our RSO has the administrative and technical support of our entire firm to assist in fulfilling the required duties and responsibilities.
